As President of Vietnam Freight Forwarders Association (VIFFAS) I am very pleased to congratulation the VIFFAS Secretariat on their success in setting its website. The Freight Forwarding Industry plays a significant role in expanding trade by procuring efficient and economic modes of transport. It creates necessary conditions to ensure that Vietnam's export products may timely reach their destinations abroad and helps to deliver in efficient manner the country's import goods from foreign sellers to our end users. This national industry is still young in Vietnam, however, it can step by step contribute to the improvement of the country's payment balance position by assisting in export promotion and by giving support to the national Carrier and Insurers. Vietnam went through a lot of hindrances and difficulties and also reached the splendid achievements over the past years. The challenges still remain considerable but more and more opportunities are predicting an imminent turnaround in our national economy. Therefore, widening the Freight Forwarding Industry must serve the national development strategy of restructuring the economy, intensifying the industrialization and modernization process and laying the foundation for rapid and sustainable development of national economy. We strongly believe that our trade picture will be certainly improved.
The establishment of this website is a result of the cooperation of the VIFFAS secretariat and members. I hope it may provide useful information about Vietnam's young Freight Forwarding and VIFFAS members details to those who invest or take a deep interest in the development of Vietnam Freight Forwarding.
